Treasure Island is a barrier island, and barrier island construction is its own discipline. Everything we install here contends with direct salt spray, intense unobstructed UV, sandy substrate, and a high water table. Standard specifications do not hold up. We use corrosion-resistant edge restraint, wet-rated polymeric jointing sand, and paver profiles and sealers selected specifically to resist salt etching and UV fade — because a coastal installation built to inland standards will show its age within a couple of seasons.

Pool decks are our highest-volume Treasure Island project. Homeowners here want surfaces that stay cool enough to walk barefoot in July, provide slip resistance when wet with salt and sand tracked constantly across them, and resist the fading that flat coastal sun causes. Shell-tone and light travertine-look pavers do all three, reflecting heat rather than absorbing it. We also do significant work on rental and vacation properties where durability under heavy guest turnover matters more than anywhere else.

Sandy substrate demands rigorous compaction and geotextile separation so the base does not migrate into the underlying sand and cause settling. We build accordingly, and on low-lying lots we design for drainage that keeps water off the structure.
